Materials
Steel
Upon performing the steel resistance and buckling assessments according to Eurocode and AISC standards, the suitable cross-section classification is considered. The determination of buckling lengths and the provision of support for lateral torsional buckling are rapidly specified or automatically computed. Diamonds then undertake cross-section optimization based on these evaluations.
- Eurocode 3 (UK, DE, ES, PL, ...) and AISC- LRFD
- Extendable built-in section library
- Cross-section classification
- Buckling length calculation
- Lateral torsional buckling supports
- Cross-section optimization
Concrete
Diamonds computes the most suitable reinforcement solution in accordance with Eurocode and ACI standards. This acts as an initial reference for establishing a feasible definition of reinforcement. Subsequently, you can proceed to determine cracked deflections and crack widths for both bar and plate components or conduct punching verification for plates and footings.
- Eurocode 2 (UK, DE, ES, PL, ...) and ACI
- Optimal reinforcement quantities
- Cracked deflection with creep
- Crack widths
- Deformation in time
- Punching verification
Timber
Diamonds computes deflections considering creep effects in accordance with the applicable service class. When executing Eurocode timber checks, factors such as buckling lengths and support against lateral torsional buckling are considered. These values can either be assigned by the user or determined automatically. Using the results of these unity check verifications, Diamonds proceeds to calculate the most optimal cross-sections.

- Buckling length calculation
- Lateral torsional buckling supports
